Intermediate Architectural Technician & Designer

The successful candidate will be the exact opposite of “a small cog in a big wheel”. The candidate will be involved in all stages of mainly residential projects, from site survey to complete working drawings. Assistance will be provided at every step, making this perfect for someone early in their career or an individual with experience already, hence salary variance.

A. R. Property Designs is a small, friendly architectural practice. We are passionate about good design and happiness for employees, clients, and end users alike; specialising in small, luxury residential projects throughout Essex.
Your Role:
– Assist & complete a measured survey.
– Design a superb solution in all manner of styles and sizes, agree the design with the team and evolve / develop the project for Client approval.
– Complete drawings for both Planning & Building Regulation Approvals.
– See projects through to completion (excluding site inspections).
What’s Required:
– Minimum 12 months of professional UK based relevant experience is required.
– Preferably an undergraduate degree in Architectural Technology, Architecture, or similar qualification in the building industry. Exceptional candidates without a degree will also be considered.
– Sound knowledge of UK Building Regulations and Planning processes is required.
– Attention to detail and honest communication is essential.
– You must live within a good commutable distance to the office (say 50 minutes drive maximum).
Salary & Benefits:

– Full time (37.5 hours per week TBC).
– The starting annual salary to be agreed dependant on experience: £18,000 – £25,000 for full time equivalent, TBC. Pension also provided..
